Dear Friends of the Little Sisters of the Poor,
Due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, and to help keep people safe and the virus contained, we are cancelling the annual Tea & Tulips “Friend-Raiser” event which was to be held on Sunday, April 5. This celebration of the Sisters and their mission promised to be fun and financially rewarding to their Washington, D.C. Home and 70+ Residents. We thank you for participating.
For those of you who already purchased a table, bought individual tickets, sponsored a Sister to attend the tea, or took a chance on raffle tickets, we will offer a 100% refund of your money, if you wish.
If you do not want a refund, do nothing, and know that your donation will help the Sisters keep their Residents safe, healthy and happy in these uncertain times. We will send you a letter in the next few weeks stating that 100% of the money you sent is a tax-deductible charitable contribution to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
We are already making plans to see everyone next year for the 15th Tea & Tulips Friend-Raiser Redux in April 2021. Stay tuned…
As always, your generosity and support of the Little Sisters of the Poor is very much appreciated. Your help keeps the D.C. Home open for some of the most vulnerable in our society, the elderly poor. If you would like a refund or have additional questions or concerns, click here to email Heather Cave, Director of Development.
Be safe and thank you again.
