Appaloosa will take place Labor Day Weekend (Friday, August 30 - Sunday, Sept. 1) on Skyline Ranch Resort in Front Royal, Virginia. Located under the famed Signal Knob, Appaloosa is a camping festival that features the rising stars in Americana, Celtic, Bluegrass and Indie Folk.
To celebrate its 5th Anniversary, Appaloosa is expanding to three full days of music with Scythian, Dustbowl Revival, Marie Miller, Humming House and Upstate headlining the Friday lineup. In addition, Grammy winning Steep Canyon Rangers (comedian Steve Martin's backing band) will be headlining Sunday night.
Appaloosa was voted "DC's Best Festival 2018" and is getting main stream recognition while maintaining a Catholic heart. 10% of festival proceeds go to Charity -- The Little Sisters is one of the beneficiaries of Appaloosa 2019.
A Catholic Mass is held on grounds for campers – nearly 700 people attended last year's Mass – and all monetary donations from the collection are given to the Little Sisters to support our mission to care for the aged poor.
Keeping Catholic families in mind, Appaloosa has "Family Packages", "Family Camping Areas" and children 12 and under go free. In addition, there is a free kids-zone with bouncy houses and free face-painting, as well as free musical workshops all weekend provided by the Appaloosa Blue Ridge Arts Foundation.
A variety of food trucks and craft vendors make Appaloosa an all-around enjoyable experience. Tickets are on sale and VIP options available.
So mark Labor Day off and spend it with friends in blue ridge mountains listening to world class talent! See you at Appaloosa! Support a great event and help The Little Sisters at the same time!
