85 is quite a milestone in life—and William Cardinal Baum was treated to a Special Serenade in celebration of his 85th birthday November 21. In a surprise visit, the Catholic University of America Chamber Choir, conducted by Leo Nestor, performed for His Eminence a number of hymns and compositions including a piece by Mozart, who is said to be Cardinal Baum’s favorite composer. The choir finished with an amazing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday.’
After the performance, friends and Residents that had gathered in our auditorium for the musical celebration were treated to birthday cake and punch.
