Residents at our home are still talking about the delicious treats created by Amy Otten, chef manager, during April’s food demonstration. By layering low fat yogurt, bright red strawberries, whipped cream and fresh blue berries in a champagne glass and then topping with green mint leaves, Amy creates parfait concoctions that everyone calls “delicious!“ There was excited chatter throughout the demonstration, which culminated with a unanimous vote by the 15 Residents in attendance – yes, to adding this tasty and healthy treat to the menu. “We love getting the Residents feedback,” says chef Amy “to see if there are changes we can make or items we can add to our menu to make our Residents happy.” Personally, I can’t wait to see what Tim Boykin, our dining services director and Amy cook up for May’s demonstration!
