Grateful for Beautiful Benches!
AYI Can Help, Spreading Joy and Serving Others in Times of Hardship

The Residents are enjoying two beautiful eucalyptus wood benches that now grace our front door. These benches, generously donated by AYI Can Help, a local nonprofit organization, are a favorite gathering spot for our Residents. With comfortable seating and serene surroundings, Residents have a perfect place to come together, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors.

What makes this donation even more special is the heartfelt meaning behind it. AYI Can Help dedicated these benches in memory of their loved ones Dr. Tzong Tang Wu and Gin-Weigh Wu, Ph.D. Each bench displays a commemorative brass plaque engraved with one of their names and the touching phrase “BELOVED BY ALL.”

Representatives from AYI Can Help have visited us multiple times this year, delivering box lunches for Residents to honor the legacy of Dr. Gin-Weigh Wu, who dedicated his life to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and the elderly.

But their kindness doesn’t stop there! During the challenging times of the pandemic, AYI Can Help provided us with monthly boxed meals and essential PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). From scarce disposable gloves and Clorox to hand sanitizer and disinfection wipes, they helped to make sure we had everything we needed to keep everyone safe.

AYI Can Help consists of working mothers and compassionate teens who strive to give back to the community through a variety of charity activities. In the past 20 years, they have served meals in homeless shelters, delivered food baskets, provided back-to-school supplies to needy children, and offered winter gear to homeless and underprivileged children in the DC metro area. Their mission is to serve those facing lifetime hardships and provide emergency relief to individuals and families in need.

Thank you, AYI Can Help, for this thoughtful gift, which is bringing happiness to the Residents, whether they’re waiting for visitors, soaking up the fresh air, or simply treasuring peaceful moments. We are forever grateful for your continuing generosity and support, and for your presence in our lives.
