Father’s Day was enjoyed by everyone at the Home this past Sunday. In the afternoon we enjoyed a performance by Nancy Leonard, Washington’s “Queen of the Accordion.” What a great musician and a real live wire of a personality!
In the evening the men were treated to a supper of Texas barbecue from 2Fifty, recently judged D.C.’s best barbecue restaurant. The supper was a gift from new volunteers who enlisted their friends to help sponsor the meal. The guys had a great time just being together, not to mention the delicious food!
