In this special year when we celebrate the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady to the children at Fatima we wanted to honor the Blessed Mother in a special way. But the traveling Fatima statue we are privileged to host each May arrives already crowned. So what to do?
During our YOUTH&AGED for life meeting last Wednesday we processed into the chapel carrying roses, which we placed at the feet of Our Lady. One of our gifted Residents had made a wreath of flowers and placed it behind the statue. She was literally surrounded by candles and fresh flowers!
Our rosary was dedicated to praying for respect for life and we closed with the traditional fatima hymn recounting the apparitions to the three shepherd children.
